Contract year 2026/27
GMS contract figures for England
1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. These are the published amounts. This page does not work out what a practice will be paid.
Source: General Medical Services Statement of Financial Entitlements Directions 2026. National Health Service, England. Signed 30 March 2026. In force 1 April 2026. They apply to England only, and to payments under a general medical services contract.
QOF pounds per point
£227.95
The cash for a point is £227.95 multiplied by the practice’s Contractor Population Index, and for a disease-register indicator also by that disease’s Adjusted Practice Disease Factor, both of which are on the CQRS achievement statement, so there is no single practice rate.
Global sum per weighted patient
£130.07
NHS England multiplies £130.07 by the practice’s quarterly weighted list on the global sum statement, and neither the raw registered list nor an ODS code is that list.
Item of service fees
The fee is the same for every practice, and eligibility follows the patient cohort in the directions.
| Amount | What it is for |
|---|---|
| £12.06 per dose | Childhood routine immunisations in Table 1. Sections 18(2) and 19(2). |
| £10.06 per dose | Adult routine immunisations in Table 2, and other vaccination programmes in Table 3. Sections 18(2) and 19(2AA). |
| £10.06 per dose | MenB vaccine given under Table 4 from 19 March 2026 to 31 March 2027. Section 19(10). |
| £44.00 per response | Each response to a valid coronavirus vaccination and testing exemption confirmation request. Section 21. |
Vaccines and immunisations in section 20 are paid through the global sum. They do not attract an item of service fee.
Section 19(2AB): the item of service fee for a new vaccination programme is set when that offer is introduced. It is not on this page until the directions publish it.
